long queue for sweets for deepavali 2019

26th oct 2019 (eve of Deepavali)

Just 2 days ago we went to tekka at nite time around 7pm and we saw a long queue for sweets. Yup, for deepavali sweets. This is inside the little india arcade. The thing is that most of them queuing are not tamils but of diff races esp chinese and malays. this tells us that s'pore is still a multi racial city. I felt happy for them to share the joy of deepas in the festival. We went to Haniffa and i saw a beautiful saree which i grabbed for myself. It was shimmering n shiny in blue and with sequiens i could not resist it. It was affordable at below $25. wow what a catch you may think. i think i picked the rare one. the rest were in red color and green color. I bought 2 sarees. one for my sis-in-law and one for the maid in her house. it is a pity the readymade syntatic saree blouses did not have xxl large. not many bought them but i noticed this yr lot of indian guys buying sarees. maybe for their mothers or wives. Haniffa sells pants which are colorful for $18 a piece. The kids clothes sell at $21 for girl's pavadai and for boys $20 a kurta set. I used to go to Nallis last time when I was going to temple often and buy their silk sarees. But since the distance is nearer we go to Haniffa's this time. - by Anu editor of Celebrity Jam. http://celebrityjam.weebly.com
